For UK dog groomers

The booking link that asks about the dog first.

It asks the breed, the coat and when the dog was last groomed before it offers a slot, so the right time and the right price land in your diary. Then it brings every dog back when it's due.

The GroomRules booking page asking about the dog: name, breed (Cockapoo, typical small size and curly coat) and sex
“Wow. Your app is amazing. It does so much that other booking tools can't do.”
    Jasmin, Buddy's Cabin Dog Grooming
“Amazing, better than anything I have tried so far.”
    Kerry, HappyTails
    “Just Brilliant.”
    Stacey, DTails UK

    The problem

Your diary can't tell a Cockapoo from a Labrador.

Generic booking tools treat every dog as a one-hour slot. You pay for that in gaps, in undercharging and in message threads that run for days.

Hi! Any availability for Bella? 🐕

    Tuesday 10am, Wed 2pm, or Thursday 11am?

    3 hours later

Sorry just saw this! Friday instead?

    Friday's full 😕 Next Monday?

    Next day

    Monday works! What time?

    10 or 2?

    Next day

2 please! Is she a small or medium?

    3 days. One booking.

    1. 01

“Small cockapoo” turns out to be 30 kilos and matted to the skin, booked into a one-hour slot at a one-hour price.

    2. 02

Three days of WhatsApp to land one booking. The slots you offered on Monday have gone by the time they reply on Wednesday.

    3. 03

Bella was due in May. It's October. Nobody reminded the owner, and the next appointment is a de-mat, not a tidy.

    How it works

    Three steps. One correct booking.

This is the real booking page your clients see.

    1. Step 1

      They open your link.

Your clients don't download an app, make an account or remember a password. It's the same link in WhatsApp, in your Instagram bio and on your website. Returning clients are recognised by their email address. New ones are asked about the dog.

The GroomRules booking page: choosing a service for Bella, with the duration and price shown for each option
    2. Step 2

      It asks about the dog.

It asks the dog's name, breed, coat, size and when it was last groomed. The breed profile sets the starting time and price, and your own rules adjust them for matting, nerves or an extra-large coat.

The GroomRules booking page asking about the dog: name, breed (Cockapoo, typical small size and curly coat) and sex
    3. Step 3

The right slot, at the right price.

It only offers slots long enough for that dog, so there are no gaps and no overruns. Bookings you want to check first wait for your approval. The confirmation goes out by email and SMS, then reminders 5 days and 24 hours before.

    What it does

It knows the dog. So it runs the diary.

Breed and coat rules, fully customisable

    A Newfoundland isn't a Pug.

Every breed starts with a default time, price and recall window. Coat condition, size and temperament adjust them. All of it is yours to change, breed by breed and dog by dog, and GroomRules applies your rules to every booking before it reaches you.

    • 230+ breed profiles, and every number in them is yours to edit
    • Matting, nerves and extra-large coats add time and money on their own
    • Block the breeds you don't take, and approve the ones you want to check first
    • Book several dogs from the same household in one go

    Recalls

Every dog comes back when it's due.

When a dog is nearly due, GroomRules texts and emails the owner a link to book, and follows up if they don't. The booking lands in your diary. That is how quiet months fill up: a dog that comes back every six weeks instead of every ten is three more grooms a year. With a hundred dogs on your books, that's thousands of pounds a year you were missing.

    • Recalls start up to four weeks before the dog is due, with follow-ups
    • The interval is set by breed, and you can change it for any dog
    • Appointment reminders go out 5 days and 24 hours before, by text and email

    Your day

    Done. Now. Next. Later.

Your day is one screen: what's finished, who's on the table, who's next and anything you need to know about them. You can mark a dog as arrived, add notes and see the surcharge from your phone, between dogs.

    • Every booking arrives with the breed, coat and last-groom date filled in
    • Client and dog records build themselves from bookings
    • Bather and stylist tracks for salons that split the work

    The promise

    Your clients stay yours.

Booking marketplaces take a cut of every client they “find” you, including the ones you already had. GroomRules is your link, under your name.

    No marketplace.

Your booking link shows your business, your services and your availability. Nobody else's groomers appear on it, ever.

    No commission.

You pay £29 or £59 a month, however much you take. There is no percentage and no “new client” fee for people who were already yours.

    No contract.

You pay monthly and can cancel from your dashboard in two clicks. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

    Built in the UK.

Prices in pounds, texts from a UK number, UK tax quarters and UK GDPR. It was made for groomers here.

    Switching

Coming from Booksy, Fresha or a paper book?

Three things to do, and the app checks them off with you.

    1. 01

      Bring your clients

Upload a spreadsheet of your clients from Booksy, Fresha, Savvy or your own records, or let them add themselves as they book.

    2. 02

      Set your rules once

Set your services, your working hours, the breeds you take and the time and price for each. A setup checklist in the app walks you through it, and you can change any of it later.

    3. 03

      Share one link

Put it in WhatsApp replies, your Instagram bio, your Facebook page and your website. It is the same link everywhere.

    Questions

What groomers ask before they start.

A note from Owen, who builds GroomRules

GroomRules exists because the booking tools groomers were using didn't know what a dog was. Every booking was a one-hour slot, whatever walked through the door. It's built in the UK and priced so one groom a month covers it. If something in it doesn't work the way your salon does, email me. I read every message and reply myself, usually within one working day.
